TX DPS School Safety Course- Guardian Plan
This is a TX DPS safety certification course designed to train school teachers and employees how to respond to an active shooter. This is a 2 day course and includes classroom simulation training and advanced live fire training. You must have a license to carry to take this course. Any school teacher or school district employee can take this course on their own & receive this certification regardless if your school allows you to carry in school or not. Basic Realistic Urban Course Sixteen (16) Hours - $640.00 per student This course is broken down into: Day 1: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4 hrs.) Day 2: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (6 hrs.) Day 3: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM (6 hrs.) Total 16 Hours THIS IS NOT A BASIC RIFLE SHOOTING CLASS. This is the introduction to high stress firearms training. You must train under stress to be able to fight under stress. Under high levels of stress, you will only rise to the level of your training. This realistic rifle fighting course will include but not limited to: * Instructors Introduction * Range Safety Rules & Realistic Day-to-Day Firearms Safety Rules * Combat Mind Set – the difference between being a good shot and being a gunfighter. * Gun Handling – the ability to manipulate a firearm without thinking and quickly getting it back into the fight with the necessary trained-in skills to keep the selected firearm operating when the shooter is engaged in a highly stressful situation. This is a personalized service specialized to your training level. We provide a total service from the selection of right pistol to your confidence with the pistol. Every person is built differently and every pistol is built to work best with those characteristics such as hand size, finger strength, ergonomic fit, and caliber size. The years of experience we offer can help narrow the selections in pistols to help you make a great decision on which brand and caliber to purchase.
The Texas Concealed This course is not a “how-to-shoot” class. It is expected that the student has already achieved a minimum safe level of proficiency with their handgun, including loading, unloading, slide or cylinder manipulation, proper use of safety devices, and operational controls. During the proficiency test, students will be expected to be safe while handling their firearms which are part of the test. Students who cannot meet these standards will fail the proficiency test and will need to retest at later date. Prospective students who have little handgun experience are encouraged to visit the range prior to class and take a 20 Minute Training Class or schedule an Introduction to Handguns 2-1/2 hour personal instruction class. This class gives hands on experience from a ladies perspective on how to carry, what's out there, where to find quality items. This class is designed to help dress concealing your firearm and feeling confident and safe in doing so everyday in all seasons.
“F.A.S.T Handgun” course is to provide the student with a solid foundation in basic knowledge of handgun "Fundamentals and Safety Training" basic understanding of ammunition and how it functions as well as shooting fundamentals. A person new to the use of a firearm for personal defense typically has a broad range of questions and is faced with learning a number of skills that are critical in the safe use of a firearm – in this case a handgun. F.A.S.T Handgun is specifically designed to provide a person new to handguns the opportunity to gain that knowledge and learn the basics of operation, cleaning and maintenance, safety and much more in a convenient 4 hour course.
Eddie and his wing team are on a mission tom help teach Pre-K - 4 grade what to do if they ever come across a gun. (Stop, Don't touch, Run Away, Tell a Grown up) Its a good way to introduce and talk to young children about guns and gun safety. Once they know and understand guns young kids will respect the gun and it take away the mystery.
This is an 8 hour course, designed for the new shooter, who wants to learn the proper methods of safety handling and shooting a shotgun. This class will focus on the following: firearms safety, shooter responsibility, shotgun manipulation and the basic marksmanship fundamentals.
Teaches strategies people can integrate into their everyday lives to avoid becoming a victim of crime. A complete seminar may last as long as four or five hours and include the entire lesson plan, but a modified seminar may be as short as one or two hours and cover topics that best suit the needs of a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive and easy to follow. The seminar includes classroom instruction on criminal psychology, automobile crimes; cyber safety, home security, and a variety of crime prevention strategies including carjack avoidance techniques, use of personal safety devices, and more. Students receive the Refuse To Be A Victim® student handbook, NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement, and a course completion certificate.

This is a one day course to develop NRA Range Safety Officers who possess the skills, knowledge and proper attitude to safely over see shooting activities on a range. Its a 9 hour course. It consists of classroom time and practical exercises conducted on a range.
