NRA Basic Instructor Training - BIT
The NRA Basic Instructor Training Course is designed to develop NRA Certified Instructors who PROCESS the KNOWLEDGE, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the nra basic firearm training course. This is the part 1 of all nra instructor course (6 hours) and then you take the NRa discipline specific instructor training (Pistol, rifle, etc).
Prior to taking this course, each candidate will receive and do:
- Request an email of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Blended ILT Lesson Plan to each candidate with instructions to print/ download and bring to class, with their NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook.
- Ensure candidates complete pre-course questionnaire
- Ensure candidates complete the entirety of Instructor Led Training (ILT) for Basics of Pistol Shooting of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course.
score of 90% or higher
NRA pre-course qualification will have a minimum passing score of 80 out of a possible 100 points
