THIS IS NOT A BASIC PISTOL SHOOTING CLASS. This is the introduction to high stress firearms training. You must train under stress to be able to fight under stress.
This realistic handgun fighting course will include but not limited to: * Instructors Introduction * Range Safety Rules & Realistic Day-to-Day Carry Firearms Safety Rules * Combat Mind Set – the difference between being a good shot and being a gunfighter. * Gun Handling – the ability of the shooter to manipulate their firearm without thinking and quickly getting back into the fight with the necessary trained-in skills to keep the chosen firearm operating when the shooter is engaged with stressful surrounding influences. Along with a smooth, fast presentation of the firearm to the target, a smooth, fast reloads and an effective method of reducing any stoppage within a few seconds that may occur without taking eyes of the threat. * Mental Conditioning – developing the warrior mind set * Realistic Handgun Shooting Fundamentals * 360 Degree Scan – depressed muzzle Technique * Practical Reloading and Stoppage Reducing Techniques * Reactive Targets * Moving Targets * Shooting within the targets time - launch windows * Pivots & Turns – moving to the threat (OODA Loop) * Cover & Concealment – what they are and how to effectively use them * Positions Less Than Ideal – where you are is where you will fight from * CQB (Close Quarter Battle) – weapon retention * Shooting on the Move – proactive and reactive movement while firing
People that are looking for training go about this in many different ways. I would like to suggest a way that I think will get you with the best Instructor /trainer.
First - you decide what type of training you are looking to have, whether it's "I got a brand new gun", Basic, Defensive, Texas License to carry or Instructor Training.
Second - are you wanting training that starts out as personal- private lesson or in a group or classroom setting.
Third - are you looking for during the week or weekends or flexible times?
Fourth - once you have these few thoughts laid out I would start calling different Instructors or ranges to see what they offer.
This way you can get a feel for the person that will train you. Are they helpful? Answering your questions? Listening to your concerns and time preferences? Do they rent equipment for you to try? Over all do you think they will give you the training you are searching for?
I hope this helps guide you in the direction to find the Best Instructor/ Trainer for you. Please check us out for all the different ways we can help you become Successful in your Training.
